Amrita Arora Ties The Knot

The much awaited wedding ceremony of Bollywood actress Amrita Arora finally took place on 4th March at Olive Restaurant, Mumbai.
The wedding was originally scheduled to take place at the Mt. Mary Basilica Church in Bandra. Unfortunately, just the day before the wedding the Church officials called Amu and her family to say that they could not provide the security required and it would be advisable for the venue to be moved elsewhere. Since the Church is public property, it could not be closed to outside visitors during the ceremony.
Instead the wedding party then moved to Olive Restaurant in Bandra where the wedding lunch was to be held. Olive then became the venue for the wedding as well as the brunch to follow.
While sister Malaika Arora played the Maid Of Honour, Kareena Kapoor was one of the bridesmaids at the wedding.
Who wore what?
- Amrita Arora wore a bridal gown designed by Ashley Rebello. The gown was made using Chantilly lace and vintage Emilio Ungaro lace and covered in Swarovski crystals and rice pearls.
- The bridesmaids (Arpita Khan, Mallika Bhat, Kareena Kapoor) and the Maid Of Honor (Malaika Arora) also all wore gowns by Ashley Rebello. The gowns were all peach but had different necklines.
- Karisma Kapoor showed up a black and floral Etro dress. Apparently, the zip came unstuck just as she was leaving home and delayed her considerably.
- Susanne Khan wore a gorgeous long, flowing Roberto Cavalli print dress. Perfect for a day wedding.
- Maheep Kapoor wore an Emilio Pucci mini dress in blue. A bit casual for a wedding but gorgeous nonetheless.
- Katrina Kaif showed up in a Gauri & Nainika purple print dress and looked stupendous with zero makeup on her face.
- Nandita Mahtani wore a strapless DvF dress.
- Gauri Khan showed up in a Missoni dress and wearing a Van Cleef and Arpels necklace. She could have looked much better.
