Amrita Arora's Sangeet At Aurus

After the Catholic wedding ceremony at Olive Restaurant, Bandra this was the third function in the series of events that made up Amrita Arora and Shakeel Ladak's wedding celebrations.
However, unlike the wedding where the bride outshone everyone else (as it should be!), the thunder at Aurus was stolen by none other than Bollywood's bad boy - Salman Khan! Rumour has it that after trashing girlfriend Katrina's birthday bash last year, Salman unleashed his drunken chaos at Aurus too.
A drunk Salman apparently got into it with the reporters there to cover the high profile celebrity Indian wedding and towards the end of the party completely lost his cool. He actually took an autorickshaw back home - sans Katrina!
Now after hearing all that who'd be interested in knowing what the bride wore?
Anyways, for all you celebrity wedding aficionados here goes:
- The bride Amrita Arora wore a Vikram Phadnis creation. It was a gold lehenga with red work and a beautiful red dupatta. She looked pretty and as a blushing bride should look - happy!
- The groom, Shakeel Ladak, wore an all black sherwani and looked very much in love.
- Malaika Arora Khan wore a deep red lehenga by Shantanu-Nikhil and totally rocked it. We loved the BajuBand (armband) she sported. Hubby Arbaaz was in a white chicken kurta and looked pretty good too.
- Sohail Khan was following in bhai Sallu's footsteps and made no effort whatsoever to clean up. Frankly, Sallu being the star he is can get away with anything... Sohail - you're no Salman!
- Sohail's wife, Seema on the other hand looked pretty in a pink Sharara.
- Sister-in-law Alvira Agnihotri (Salman's sister) looked not-so-great in a blue gharara (flared pants style).
- Kareena Kapoor looked hot in a purple-icious lehenga with beau Saif in all black. Rumour has it the two brought the house down by shaking a leg to 'Kajre Re'.
- Lara Dutta looked lip-smackingly gorgeous in a seriously daring low cut blouse that showed a lot of cleavage. But she made it looked sexy without being offensive.
- Susanne Khan turned up looked absolutely stunning in a white chicken Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla outfit. Good to see Susanne looking so smashingly gorgeous after a long time.
- Karisma Kapoor on the other hand was quite a disappointment. She too went white like Susanne, but her entire ensemble was quite dated. In fact it looked like something she had worn for Hum Saath Saath Hain donkey's years ago. Sorry Lolo - we expect way better from you.
- Katrina Kaif wore a lace baby pink sari. While the colour was pretty and frankly she looks good in just about anything, we seriously dislike the 'I'm going to show off one boob' drape. It may be ok on the ramp but in real life, let's put the sexy tease back into the sari ladies instead of letting it all hang out.
- In fact, Dia Mirza is someone who got the drape absolutely perfect. We loved her icy green chiffon sari - and the way she wore it!
- OK, the shocker of the evening had to be Twinkle Khanna in an off-beat Anamika Khanna creation. It was so off-beat it hovered on the ridiculous! How disappointing from the otherwise fashionable Twinkle.
- Malaika Zayed Khan wore a white Manav Gangwani sari with highly embellished blouse. She looked a bit OTT but got away with it.
- Priyanka Chopra looked positively drab in a blue Manish Malhotra sari. While Manish can be a design genius, this is certainly not one of his better creations.
- Bhavna Chunky Pandey - We're not sure what her outfit was about but it reminded us of Dimple Kapadia in her debut 'Jhooth bole' song from Bobby. OK, so Dimple looked fabulous but Bhavna did not - and Dimple wasn't attending a celebrity wedding function!
- Dino Morea and Farhan Akhtar both wore Rohil Bal creations that they've modeled on the ramp.
