Telly Actors Have A Golden Night In Dubai

Literally too! The herd of telly actors recently had a night to remember when they 'picnicked' at the Global Village in Dubai where the most awaited Gold Awards 2008 took place organized by Vikas Kalantri and Pooja Ghai of White Leaf Entertainmnent. The three-day tour to the Gulf shores saw the guests having a whale of a time shopping away and sight seeing in the city.
The function started off with a multi cultural performance by the local dancers along with the guests, which promised a completely entertaining night by itself. The awards function that was anchored by Ali Asgar and Suresh Menon had the audiences in splits of laughter throughout the evening. The red carpet was hosted by Manish Paul.
Vikas and Pooja being the perfect hosts, were busy taking care of their guests and ensuring everything proceeded smoothly, which of course it did under their guidance and with a very efficient team!
Albeit the severe cold, the guests enjoyed the show, and some of the artists like Narayani Shastri, Barkha Bisht and Jasveer Kaur did not even seem perturbed by it in their not-so-warm ensembles.
There were performances by various actors like Shveta Salve, Iqbal Khan (who performed inspite of an injured hand), Eijaz Khan, Kushal Punjabi, Purbhi Joshi and many more.
Sarita Joshi had the audience in awe when she performed to the tunes of Desi Girl with Kushal Punjabi and Karan Wahi. Incidentally, it being Sanjeeda Sheikh's birthday, she received loads of greetings too. But the poor lady seemed frozen in her jacket sitting along with beau Aamir Ali.
JD Majethia's entire team was present and needless to say bagged a couple of awards once again. The Bidaai team too took many awards including the best fiction award. The Best Actor was won by Shabbir Ahluwalia and Best Actress went to Devyanka Tripathi.
Ali Asgar and Suresh had in store couple of Balti awards too, which they generously gave away. All in all, it was one grand award function and a memory filled vacation in disguise for the actors.

- Best Actor Negative (Female) - Sanjeeda Sheikh - Kayamath
- Gold Debut (Male) Kinshuk Mahajan - Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai
- Gold Debut (Female) - Parul Chauhan - Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai
- Best Comic Role (Male) - Deven Bhojani - Baa Bahu Aur Baby
- Best Comic Role (Female)- Suchita Trivedi - Baa Bahu Aur Baby
- Best Anchor - Abhigyan Prakash
- Best Show - Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai
- Best Comedy Show - Comedy Circus
- Best Reality Show - Nach Baliye
