SRK's Birthday At Mannat

Shah Rukh Khan is well known for his media friendly attitude and extreme appreciation of the fanfare that follows him across the globe. Is it any surprising that unlike most stars who opt for quite birthday celebrations and private parties, SRK swung the exact opposite way and had a media blitz on 2nd Nov 08?
The King Khan's birthday celebrations kicked off on Saturday night when wife Gauri threw him a party at their residence Mannat in Bandra, Mumbai. The who's who of Bollywood and much of the business biggies attended the do - from Adi and Parmeshwar Godrej to the Moranis - they were all there.
The Bollywood brigade included Bipasha Basu, Raveena Tandon, Hrithik Roshan, Sajid Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Ranvir Shourey and Sushmita Sen to name a few. The surprise guest of the evening had to be former Pakistani cricket captain - Imran Khan.
While the party carried on till the wee hours of the morning, SRK showed up early Sunday morning to wave to all his fans gathered outside his home. Dressed in trousers and a white shirt, he looked friendly and fantastic. His fans went positively berserk when they glimpsed their hero.
Later that evening, there was a media event at which the first trailers of SRK's latest movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi were shown. SRK even cut a cake with the media singing the birthday song. The media threw loads of questions at him including his favourite birthday gift and his character in the upcoming Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. SRK answered all the questions with his trademark tongue-in-cheek humour.
In inimitable King Khan style, Shah Rukh's birthday was befitting his status as Bollywood's leading hero.
