Akshay Kumar's Diwali Bash

Diwali definitely means the biggest and best bashes of the year and this year was no different. While the telly gang all headed to Ekta K's Diwali bash, the big screen stars made for Akshay Kumar's party. As hosts go, Akshay certainly beats all competition hands down.
Dressed in a gorgeously simple churidaar kurta , Akshay looked superb and just appropriate for the festive night. Also spotted at the do were Malaika and Arbaaz Khan, Saif and Kareena, Deepika Padukone, Sajid Khan and a host of other celebrities. Surprisingly, mother-in-law Dimple was seen attending the K bash. Do we sense an uprising in the camps?
Neelam on the other hand was seen at both bashes - casual chic at K's and dressed to the nines at Akki's! Wonder how she pulled that one off? A very short appearance at one we presume?
At both bashes, we loved the men dressed in traditional Indian wear (Akshay, Saif, Arbaaz) - guys who turned up in jeans were totally blah (Akashdeep Saigal, Anuj Saxena, Aryan Vaid, Chetan Hansraj just to name a few)!
However, Ekta Kapoor took the cake (or should we say mithai ?) for the worst dressed person at both bashes combined! What was the girl thinking? Just because she's heading the soap industry doesn't mean its ok to let herself go completely. And there she is! Holding a kindergartener's water bottle, wearing the head band and good lord - is that a bib we see? She doesn't look like the host... she looks like a ghost - or perhaps it would have been better if she was one and disappeared from this party altogether.
Anyways, the women were nicely turned out - mostly - and you can pick up a few pointers on dressing like the celebs for your special dos as well.
