A new year and as can be expected some great 2009 calendars. Surely the most popular pick of the lot has to be ace photographer Dabboo Ratnani's 2009 calendar launched on January 6th at Olive in Bandra, Mumbai.
The calendar is like a pictorial graph of the who's who of Bollywood - Hrithik and Ash are opening stars in Jan with Preity and Bobby. A thanda January is followed by a hot hot February with Kangana Ranaut in a super provocative picture. Abhishek looks almost ridiculous and 'dostana'ish along a mysterious woman clicked in black and white. We know who she is... can you guess?
The other months include Rani, Viveik, Ayesha Takia, Abhay Deol, Dino, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Lara Dutta, Salman, Ajay, Deepika, Sushmita, Arjun Rampal, Sunjay Dutt, Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif (gorgeous!), Saif, Kareena, Urmila, Akshay Kumar (hunky!), Emraan Hashmi, Ranbir, Amitabh, Mallika Sherawat, Amrita Arora and Bipasha!
There are also two topless beauties to up the sexy quotient of the calendar but we think by far the best is saved for November with SRK and Kajol in red!
As hot as the calendar is, the stars present at the launch were that blah!
- Ameesha Patel showed up carrying a gorgeous orange Hermes Birkin bag but looked so-so.
- Amrita Rao looked yuck! as usual and
- Kangana also faltered on the fashion front. She's taking the masculine look too far we think.
- Vidya Balan was surprisingly well put together - for a change too!
- Urvashi Sharma looked great, as did Lara Dutta.
- Shahid went casual and we quite like his tee!
All in all, if you like gazing at the stars this calendar is a great buy. Not a bad gift either for friends who love Bollywood!
