What Celebs Want In 2009!
|
''To see a world in a grain of sand and heaven in a wild flower Hold infinity in the palms of your hand and eternity in an hour.'' - Auguries of Innocence
Wishes and resolutions are interesting... because they whisper a human randomness of thought and chance that defies odds in a world that is increasingly becoming uniform, resolute and predictable. Someone once said, ''Be careful what you wish for it may actually come true.'' Shaaditimes spoke to some celebrities to find out what they want in the New Year. Not surprisingly there seemed to a consensus that we should pray and wish for renewed wisdom and guidance in making this world a safer place.
Imran Khan: The Bollywood superkid that rang in box office gold with mega block buster Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, also the nephew of one of the Kings of Bollywood - Aamir, doesn't believe in wishes. With some cajoling this is his New Year's wish for all Indians where ever they live. "Keep the faith... and may all the loyal fans of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na have a 2009 filled with belief, love and goodwill."
Rushad Rana: "I wish we have a new world, a new beginning, a new year wherein no one kills anyone, no one goes hungry again, and people start living a life of harmony, love, and peace, just the way we see it in an Aditya Chopra movie," says the actor who played the "hero" SRK and Anoushka Sharma's characters watch in the movie theatre.
Shruti Ulfat: "Stay happy and be yourself...," says television / film actress Shruti Ulfat. She will be in Dehradun with family and friends this New Year. "The weather's lovely and Dehradun is a place where you can enjoy when bringing in the New Year. I pray for love and happiness for all."
Sandip Soparkar: The most happening Chorographer in India today and Madonna's dance instructor. On his way to LA to start work on international pop icon Britney Spear's latest Album "Circus", Sandip is slated to choreograph the moves for the song "Womanizer". His resolution this year? "Well, believe in yourself, believe in your work and believe in God... the rest will take care of itself."
Suchitra Pillai: Anchor, television actor, model. Suchitra believes that her inner strength and confidence have been the force behind her success. "My New Year wish for all is that everyone gets at least one chance this coming year to fulfill a dream that's close to their heart."
