Vaishali Samant, the lady who rocked the entire nation with her "Aika Dajiba" is all charged up. Managing both pop albums and Bollywood is tough, she says, but she is sure that singers are fast breaking the playback typecast. They are becoming more of a performer. She is happy with the response of the people around who have made her idea of combo music a hit. The sound and melody of Marathi folk music fused with western beats have struck home with a wide range of audiences from ages 4 to 60. And no she is not doing only Marathi mixes, but is also busy experimenting with some folk songs from UP and Haryana and making them more contemporary and peppy for the young audience.

"Love is about trust, commitment, understanding and belief in each other. If you share a good chemistry with each other, are comfortable discussing everything and enjoy each other's company, you will be together forever. Good looks can charm only for a first few days, but your personality is what the other person will treasure forever. Nowadays, people fall in and out of love quite randomly. This is more because priorities have changed. I believe that a little bit of flirting is okay but you should know the limits. Do not start playing with another person's feelings. If you break someone's heart, you will not be happy at the end..."
"Lust is an essential part of a relationship. It has the power to make or break a relationship. Lust is the medium of love but it is not equal to love. Love involves brain, body and heart. Thus physical lust is only a part of love. If it's only lust then it is not love. Moreover, lust is temporary. So if you base your relationship only on lust then it is bound to stray after a short while. In a fast city life, where there is so much exposure, many opportunities might knock your door, but if you are true to your love you will not find those temptations so attractive."
"Jealousy is natural if you love someone. Some amount of jealousy, insecurity and possessiveness is welcome. It makes you realize the importance of your partner in your life. But it should not be interfering with your day-to-day life. That might lead to tension. I can give a small instance from my life. Like, when my husband leaves for his day all dressed up, he looks very handsome. I feel proud of him but at the same time I feel a tinge of jealousy somewhere deep in my heart for all those lucky ladies he might meet throughout the day!!!(laughs)"
"I don't quite like the idea of aggression in a relationship. However, every day I see a lot of such cases in newspapers. There is actually a very thin line between jealousy and insecurity. If insecurity becomes overpowering it might take a form of violence and abuse."
"Passion is very spontaneous. I do not believe it dies with time. Quite contrarily, it grows and deepens with time. However, its expression may vary across different stages in a relationship. In the initial years of togetherness it is expressed as physical intimacy but later this grows to a deeper bond of understanding and respect when you can't live without sharing your thoughts and emotions with each other."
