Talks about mini meals and the power of good sleep

The much known vamp on the small screen who makes everyone's life miserable is a happy, bubbly gal off-screen. The secret of the healthy, happy Swetta is not regular exercise but proper sleep and right eating habits.

Swetta Keswani Less is more
Food means the world to me. I travel a lot so I have tried all sorts of food from different countries. I live to eat. My diet is not different from others but I am little careful. For breakfast I have three options either muesli, skimmed milk, or 2 egg white omelettes or scrambled with brown bread or veg-sandwich. At times it could be idlis or parathas cooked by mom. I believe in having mini meals at least 5 to 6 times a day as they are much healthy. The fillers in-between are strictly fruits or dry fruits. No oily or fried stuff.

Lunch is always 1 roti, more of veggies, curd, and salad. I have an early dinner at 7.30 and I have no carbs after that. I don't enjoy sweets at all. Only if I am with my friends I have a chocolate or sometimes kaju katri. I love seafood, Thai, Konkani and Malvani foods. Gazalee is very good for it's seafood.

Sleeping beauty
Off late I have not been exercising due to my hectic work schedules. I prefer having a good sleep because I believe that a well-rested body is always fit. Proper sleep takes care of everything.

A gesture of love
I love cooking for my family and friends. I can cook good seafood, chicken and a variety of salads. Curd chicken is yummy, easy and quick to prepare.

Curd Chicken Ingredients:
  • Chicken 5 to 6 pieces (leg or breast)
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Pepper powder ½ tsp
  • Curd 1 cup
  • Olive oil 2 tbsp
  • Tomatoes 2
  • Onions 1 or 2
  • Green chillies 1 or 2
Preparation:
Make tiny holes on the chicken pieces with a fork and marinate it with curd, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, pepper powder and salt. Keep aside for 4 to 5 hours. On a non-stick pan put olive oil. Add chopped onion and fry till they get brown. Add ginger garlic paste and fry for some more time. Add tomatoes pureed with green chillies. Add the marinated chicken pieces and cook for few minutes till the chicken gets cooked.

Good health begins at home
I don't go to the parlour regularly because I believe good health and beauty begins at home like proper diet, proper rest, and proper eating habits. I don't manicure. I sometimes go in for a pedicure. I go for head and body massages because they are relaxing. I get facial clean ups done once in three months. I take special care of my hair. I get a hair treatment done at home with different oils and massages.

Naturopathy
One should have lots of green vegetables and fruits. Too much of salt is also not good for health. Natural food is the best, so be natural as much as possible.

On a yacht with Richard Gere
I would love to go out with Johny Depp or Richard Gere for a dinner date on a cruise or a beautiful yacht. With candles lit all around and some good champagne.
