Food & Fitness formula of Samita Bangargi
I love cooking for my boyfriend and my family, says Samita Bangargi, a model cum actress. Daughter of a Maharashtrian mother and a Kannadiga father, Samita was brought up in Solapur. A huge foodie, Samita dotes on Maharashtrian food and eating right is her mantra for good health.
Routine
I have a heavy breakfast consisting of egg whites, some bread and tea. I get into a bad mood if I do not eat on waking up. For lunch I have rice, roti , dal and sabji . For dinner I try and avoid rice, infact I avoid carbohydrates at night. Instead I have proteins like fish or chicken breast.
I don't have a sweet tooth at all. Since my childhood I never liked chocolates or any Western sweets. I do like Indian sweets like jalebis but I try and avoid them.
Favourite eating spots
China Garden, Thai Pavilion, Noodle Bar, Pizza hut, Domino's... the list is endless because I like to eat anything anywhere.
Favourite cuisine
Thai and Chinese. I go to Imax at Wadala to eat first and then for a movie. The sarso ko saag , kali dal , maki di roti served there is my favourite.
Love cooking
I have been cooking since my childhood. I have learnt to cook and now I do not have to refer to cook books. I love cooking for my boyfriend Aashish(Choudhary) and my family. The last time when I cooked prawn curry everybody just freaked on it.
Fitness
I am a health freak, but lazy to get up and work out daily. Actually, I believe that working out daily is not a good idea. I mostly do the weight exercises with my trainer who comes thrice a week. It's also very good to walk on the treadmill daily at least for half an hour.
Special care
I strictly have coconut water and carrot juice everyday. I do the clean-ups regularly. Before sleeping I see to it that I remove all my make-up. I have a dry skin so I moisturise it. I oil my hair whenever I can.
Dinner date
I would love to have a candlelight dinner on a beautiful beach with Brad Pitt. With lots of fish to eat!
My word
Eat whatever you want to but eat right. Try and avoid oily stuff. Eat within limits. Start your day with carbohydrates but avoid carbohydrates at night. Have early dinner. Everybody should work out or walk for atleast 40 minutes daily.
