She has also essayed interesting roles in Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin and Kkusum and was also a part of the reality TV show Jet Set Go.
ShaadiTimes catches up with Kiran Dubey to study her F-Factor.
Healthy living
I am a fitness freak and I believe that healthy eating is the key to remain in shape. I don't stick to 2 meals a day. I rather go in for 4-5 small meals. They include lots of fruits, salads and fresh veggies. I avoid fried stuff and sweets. I prefer eating at home and I carry my lunch when I am shooting outdoors. I also have 8-10 glasses of water daily. It acts as a natural toxic and cleans the system. As such, exercise is not on my daily routine. But I visit the gym frequently and love to practice kick-boxing. It helps to knock off those extra calories.
Glamour quotient
I would attribute my good looks to the hereditary factor. My mother and grandma are two very beautiful and young-looking ladies. Hence I have acquired good hair and skin naturally. When not before the camera, I do not take the pains to put on any make-up as I'm a very lazy person. I use a product called Shiseivo for my skin and L'Oréal for my hair. I use a mixture of olive oil, castor oil and methi seeds for my hair. This adds shine to my hair and touch wood, I have not faced the problem of hair fall at all. But looks aren't that important for me. For me, my heart is my most treasured body part.
My Daily F-Factor
I start my day with nimbu pani and honey. Then I practice Yoga and some stretching exercises. After that I have a bowl of fruits, some multi-vitamins and lots of water.
For brunch I have curd and muesli
Lunch is boiled dal , salads, 2 chapatis and stir-fried vegetables cooked in olive oil.
I'm a tea-person. At around 3 pm I have a cup of tea with digestive biscuits which are high on fibre and low on calories.
In the evening I go to the gym after which I have a milk shake.
I prefer early dinners which consists of simple light food.

Chef Kiran
I think my mom is the best cook though she uses some extra oil in my bhaji along with her dose of love and care. Generally my maid does the cooking. But when in a good mood, I like to make some stir-fried vegetables. I can cook the normal dal-chawal and simple bhajis so that I don't have to go hungry when I am alone. I can cook good chole. I would love to cook my special chole dish for all my special guests. But I always have to refer to the diary in which my mom jotted down the recipe for me... so I think I need a husband who is a good cook! (laughs)
My favourites
The Myst at Lokhandwala; it has an amazing ambience. I also love the food of Bombay Baking Company, JW Marriott and 'Urban Tadka'. I love Indian food like biriyani, dal-makhni and lachcha paratha more than any non-Indian food. Whenever I get a chance, I also love to gorge on street food, especially Bhel puri . I don't have a sweet tooth but I love chocolate cakes and can have them at any time during the day.
Ideal date
I would love to walk with the man of my dreams down a river bed or hills, specially in Dehradoon, my hometown. For dinner I would love to go with him to Taj Exotica, Goa as it faces the wonderful sea.
Happiness index
I pamper myself by sleeping and splurging on myself while shopping.
My mantra
Be happy and feel good from inside. This will be naturally reflected on your face and will add that extra charm. Nothing suits your face more than a warm and lovely smile! |
