Does the weather have anything to do with our relationships?

It's raining it's pouring... and the monsoons promise a little masti and mayhem especially for the next couple of months.
So does a consistent downpour affect the way we feel, think or behave? Does the weather have anything to do with our relationships? Does it make you more romantic, lazier, and more conscientious? Does the lush greenery of the rains take away your breath and let out a sigh which makes your heart flutter?
Many a movie have sparked romance amidst the backdrop of the showers. Be it Hollywood or Bollywood. Does the romanticism stand-up to the testament of real life? Do the congested streets, backlogged drains, muddy and murky waters still inspire a nuance of drama, sweeping hearts along with the wind?

"No I don't think the weather affects the way I look at my relationships. Especially during the monsoons with all the mud, water, and congestion and traffic, I definitely don't feel romantic."
 Deepshika - TV and film actress
"During the monsoons I feel like sleeping in, cuddling with my (now estranged) hubby (actor Jeet Upendra) and basically just taking it easy. I find the rains make me feel lazy and the sound of pitter patter seems to slow everything down to a halt. Just because my husband and I are not physically together it doesn't mean that I don't have feelings for him. In fact, I want to spend time with him especially during the monsoons. In matters of the heart there is no black or white, and even if we are not together today, I can still imagine a little romance during the monsoons."

"The monsoons definitely make one more romantic, especially if you're sitting in your car or driving around. On the flip-side, the monsoons can be likened to a marriage. Good from a far, but far from good."

According to Farooque, "The monsoons are wonderful and stimulate the romance. The colours of the monsoon are romantic and vivid red, rusts, greens against the dull grey of the sky. In a maudlin way the monsoons could be compared to a nightmare too," jokes Farooque.
His fairer half Rukshar is in Shimla at the moment and this is what she had to say. "I love bright and clear weather. I prefer the sun over rain any day. Sitting in Shimla I don't miss the monsoons as I lost a friend to it last year and the rains will always remind me of her memory which makes me sad," says Rukshar
 Gary Gupta - Of music album Tanhaai fame
"I have at least 150 different things I can tell you about why I love the monsoons. Just the kind of lush beauty and nature.... it can make even a die-hard pessimist fall in love. The weather is wet and it simply oozes of romance. The rains are intoxicating and one can just go crazy." His favourite place during the monsoons, "At the Britto Baga Beach Goa... I could sit there all day and listen to the water fall."
