''Nothing In Life Comes Accidentally'' - Minissha Lamba
|
With an ambition of becoming a Journalist, Minissha was born a Punjabi (Sikh) kudi in Delhi. She feels nothing in life comes as an accident. It's just that time decides on how, when and where you are going to be placed. She was critically acclaimed for her acting in the movie Yahan. Being an actress today is more important than discussing what is bygone, says the actress.
Shaaditimes in a chitchat with the adorable but bold Minissha who is very clear on what she wants in coming years...
On what Minissha means...
I don't know what it means but my parents just like the pronunciation. And this how I got name ''Minissha''.
On being a Showstopper in The Fashion Week...
Acting and Modeling are two different roles. But both demand a great amount of confidence, poise and concentration. Earlier I was uncomfortable with ramp walk but things went easily and to my satisfaction. Then I felt it was just work which on demand had to be accomplished.
On wanting to be a journalist...
It's a much talked about topic. I had much discussion on it earlier. All I can say is ask me something, which would help you know me better.
On her parents...
My parents are chilled and relaxed people. They never objected on me choosing acting as a career. In fact they acted as a big moral support towards my film journey.
On facing the Camera...
Initially I did wobble. But I moved ahead, I started planning on things and this turned out to be best for me. You need to be very decisive when you are in this profession. There are things, which need to be scaled. I am heading towards growth but I want to be a constant and yet outstanding performer.
Her dream role...
Well dreams are too high. Can't speak in detail but yes I crave for "Period Films". My ambition is to see myself doing things which will make people recognize me by my acting, something like how I was noticed in "Yahan".
Her Fav. Director...
I will never limit myself for directors. For me the role and script matters. My key positioning in the movie is important to me. These day's big banners too are facing flops.
Your recent releases...
I am working with Shyam Benegal. It's an untitled movie based on political satire.
Fav. Co-star...
Though I haven't worked with him, but I feel Saif Ali Khan is one of the best actors. I would love to work with him. It would be fun to be paired with him.
Is Minissha a real "Adaa" ...
No, I am tomboy who loves sports, adventure and a big prankster. You will always see me doing things out of proportion.
Her Passion...
I am passionate about many things in life. I believe life has many thing stored for you. All you have to do is wait and watch and then decide whether it's good or bad.
