Leggy Lara Dutta Rock(y)S The Ramp

The youthful designer RockyS had two shows this fashion week. The first one was inspired by the Nokia Prism where Lara Dutta sashayed on the ramp for him. It was expressed in black with dashes of pink and blue.

The second show was inspired by the moods and reflections of a woman. He captured these emotions in a colour palette ranging from midnight blacks and elegant ivory tones blended with deep maroon and rusty orange.
We spoke to the boisterous designer.
Rocky, tell us about your collection?
The philosophy behind it is of a girl transferring into a woman and a mix of old and new.
What fabrics have you used?
Everything is in chiffon and georgette because it had to be soft and feminine.
When do we see your men's collection?
Next year I am definitely launching it.
Which movie did you last design for?
Goal.
What are the clothes like in Goal?
Well Goal is about sports so I have given a sporty look.
Any new movies?
Well yeah, I'm designing for a Subhash Ghai film.
Which Bollywood female actor would you like to walk the ramp for you?
Bipasha, Katrina.
This year we didn't see any Bollywood celebrity walking the ramp for you? Why?
Because it was about the clothes this time and I wanted to create an identity for this label. It is a noir and a special collection for me and is close to my heart.
