I am delighted that Lolo has got him, says sis Kareena
Quite suddenly, Kareena Kapoor finds a wedding on her hands - her sister Karisma's. The trauma that her sister underwent in the last few months has been consigned to the junk-heap of memory as she gears up for Lolo didi's wedding, which is approximately a month from now.
 Playing a prostitute in Anant Balani's Chameli , Kareena takes time during a shoot to talk about how she is soon going to become to a saali to Sanjay Kapoor (not the actor!), Delhi industrialist.
How does she feel about it?
'I am obviously very happy for her,' smiles Kareena through the garish make-up. 'She is a human being who deserves all the happiness in the world. Especially after the heartbreaks of the last few months, she needed a true Mr Right, and I am delighted that she has got him. We have known the family for years, as my mom and his mom were friends from late teenage. We kids have even played together'.
If Kareena has a complaint, it is that her producers and her dates are both preventing her from being with Lolo in the pre-marriage activities and festivities. Making a moue , she grumbles that her dates are too tied up for her to get involved to the extent that she would have liked. After all, Chameli is off to a 30-day start-to-finish schedule, and Kareena also has LOC-Kargil, Bewafa and Dev under production, apart from forthcoming assignments with Deepa Mehta, Mani Ratnam and of course Bajirao Mastani.
'My sister and I are very close, though very different. We will be celebrating her wedding reception in a grand way, and the invite list is likely to run into a thousand or more,' says the actress, visibly excited and thrilled in anticipation of the event to come.
Talk naturally veers to whether she feels her own marriage has come closer now that didi is tying the knot. In mock anger, she asks,' Why do you want to marry me off so early?' she demands. 'Karisma began her acting career in 1991 and is getting married after 12 years. No, I don't intend to get married for ten years at least. So don't ask me about it now!'
And in the meanwhile everyone awaits the most talked -about marriage of our times.
