Gauhar Khan in an open interview with Shaaditimes

 From the ramp to the Jhalak stage, this pretty damsel knows her steps well. She has been eye candy to many and of course in the news for things which she believes are blown out of proportion... Shaaditimes lets Gauhar clear the air and speak about her experiences in Jhalak Dikhlaja Season 3.
How has your Jhalak experience been so far?
Jhalak has been great, in fact wonderful. It has given me the opportunity to explore myself in terms of dancing. Dance has been my passion although I love acting too. I have been trained as an actress. But for a long time dancing was on high priority and Jhalak has been the place where I can finally showcase my talent without any hindrance.
Nigar was also a part of a Reality dance show. Was she the reason you are on Jhalak...?
Hmmm. Not really. I was approached by Jhalak for season 2. But I felt that was not the right timing. You need to be prepared, when and where you want to make the entry and your performances should be strong in front of the audiences, contestants and of course - your judges.
Nigar is seen cheering you. Can we say she is a huge support?
Yeah, last year I was there for her and we have great bonding as sisters. We are together in good and bad times. She has always been my vital support. My mom has been on the set in spite of being an arthritis patient just to cheer me up. I believe when your family is around, you don't need much attention.
Her take on Hanif Hilal...?
He is one of the best choreographers and a brilliant human being. Initially, I had a different opinion about him and I do maintain that. But this doesn't explain everything. Being a model and knowing the glam world I had my preferences and I had presented my ideas accordingly. But things where blown out of proportion. I have certain professional boundaries as any other celeb does. We both work on our skills and knowledge.
There may be ups and downs but that doesn't indicate that we have problems. In the coming episodes you will see that we share an extensive rapport. We laugh, crack jokes and whirl around. We are trying to make it the best so that we are in the finale.
It looks like you are a trained dancer...?
No, not at all... I have that rhythm in me. When you are passionate about anything you can put your heart and soul in it. I am one of them. So even though you aren't a dancer you ought to become a dancer.
Gauhar Khan is?
Gauhar Khan is an extremely emotional person. She is touched by anything and everything on earth. Filled with joy and sorrow. At times I may be serious or funny. From all the people who have seen me so far, those who have the same wavelength will connect easily, others may have their own ideas. I am the last person to throw tantrums. I am not a dramebaaz. |
