The Venue - Hot Or Not?

For most fashionistas, there was serious hesitance about the change in venue at the WLIFW. While the event is traditionally held at swanky hotels where Celebs come in slinky satins clutching their LVs and Pradas, this time round it was at a more modest Pragati Maidan. Modest? Some might say more trade-like or business-like. Let us tell you, the mood at the venue was more upbeat. We ask our celebrities.
Ashima-Leena: (Ashima Laughs) it's a nice venue. You don't have to walk around that much. (Leena adds): It doesn't seem like it's not a 5 star. These people have done a really good job in decorating it. It looks great and is as good as a five star.
Rocky S: It's huge, it's fabulous, it is larger than life, and I love it.
Vikram Phadnis: I love it, it's spacious.
Raghvendra Rathore: Fantastic, huge. I am a board member and I think it is working very well.
Meher Bhasin: I feel it's bigger and better.
Samyukta Sawhney: The venue is Ok. A hotel would have been better because it is classier.
Deepika Govind: Initially I was apprehensive but I think everything has been really smooth. It's nice and easy and stalls are easily accessible.
Rohit Gandhi: I think the venue is amazing and it's well organised. Everything is under a single roof.
Rina Dhaka: I think it should be always held at Pragati Maidan only. It's consolidated from the buyers' as well as designers' point of view. Everything is at a single place. You don't have to run around.
Neha Kapoor: I think it's amazing. It is huge; everything is well spaced out and organized. There are separate lounges. The make-up people have an entire room to themselves and the hairdressers have a separate room. So it is all well coordinated.
Carol Gracias: I think the venue is lovely. I don't think it could be better. Everything is so well organized. All the shows are so well spaced out that we don't have to run around. Everything is under a single roof.
Shantanu Mehra: I think the place is cool and spacious. There is enough space for the stalls; there is good space for the shows. I don't think there can be a better place to hold a trade fair other than Pragati Maidan.
Pooja Mishra: I love the venue, it's big. You have facilities like getting a foot massage to everything. The crew guys are great; they are always there for you. The lounge is also great.
Sunil Sethi (Merchandiser, celebrity): I feel the venue is great and perfect for trading and it looks as good as a five star.
