I don't believe in spending on New Years Eve. Instead I spend the eve with my family. I strongly feel that one must celebrate the New Year's Eve with one's family, within the premises of one's house. And I assure you that it can bring you immense happiness and satisfaction rather than going out of the house to celebrate.

It depends on the person and his economic standards. If he can afford to party and spend money then he can. If one loves to treat himself or herself that he or she is free to do it.

No. I completely disagree that by spending money freely or lavishly one can celebrate any kind of occasion. Celebration is all about happiness and satisfaction. One celebrates in happiness or only when one is satisfied. I love to celebrate with my family and loved ones rather then celebrating with strangers. Partying in luxurious hotels can give you happiness, but it's only temporary, and on other hand celebrating with your loved ones, not only gives happiness but also satisfaction and that is what really matters.

No... not at all. If you ask me I spend the eve with my family and kids. We celebrate in a very simple way. We prayed, partied till 12 in the night and went off to sleep. But trust me; this was the best New Year celebration. I guess I have partied a lot; but now being with my family, friends, my loved ones and those who matter to me a lot brings me immense happiness.

I would never do this. I think this is a complete wastage of one's time and hard earned money. But again any celebration is a personal question. We can't impose anyone to celebrate any event or any festival in a certain way. How to celebrate or how much to spend or party and till what time is extremely personal question. But as far as I am concerned, I spend this eve with my family and friends.
